“Journal of Musical Science” has been published 4 times per year since 2013 on the initiative of Novosibirsk society of musicologists. All the articles sent to the journal editorial office are subjected to obligatory peer review. Articles are published in order of precedence after peer review. Authors can find all the relevant information in sections “Order of Acceptance and Peer Review of the Material”, “Format Requirements”.
Publication fees are taken on the basis of a contract drawn up between the Conservatoire (Founder of the journal) and the author.
According to the Order № 55-од of 19.06.2017 publication fees are as follows:
1) 500 roubles per page (1800 characters) – for authors teaching, working or studying at the Novosibirsk Conservatoire;
2) 800 roubles per page (1800 characters) – for other authors.
Royalties for articles are not paid.
The journal was founded by Boris Aleksandrovich SHINDIN, Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Art Criticism, Professor, who was its chief editor from 2013 to 2018.
